Marco’s Pizza Broadens Technology Relationship with FoodTec Solutions
Contract extension paves the way for future technology development and enhanced machine learning
September 05, 2019, Toledo, OH – Marco’s Franchising, LLC (Marco’s Pizza) has announced the extension of its relationship with FoodTec Solutions as its single technology provider for point-of-sale (POS), delivery, business intelligence, online ordering, mobile applications, and a variety of other solutions.
The agreement between Marco’s Pizza and FoodTec provides franchisees, as well as company-managed restaurants, a single technology platform designed to drive revenue, manage operations, and reduce costs. The FoodTec platform provides Marco’s with cloud-based solutions as well as a secure POS platform at store level. With the integration of FoodTec’s Enterprise Target Market, online ordering, customer mobile applications, and Delivery IQ solutions, Marco’s will have a single integrated solution across its rapidly-growing enterprise of more than 900 stores.
“Over the past several years, FoodTec has demonstrated its commitment to Marco’s Pizza in several hundred stores. After extensive due diligence, we have determined their latest technology will generate significant benefits to all of our operators, as well as enable Marco’s Pizza to implement new and constantly changing marketing initiatives as we grow to 1,000 stores and beyond,” said Rick Stanbridge, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Marco’s Franchising, LLC. “Our goal was to find the ‘best fit’ solution for our stores that would enable the company to centralize our marketing efforts. We believe the benefits of FoodTec’s single platform and totally integrated solution far exceeded that of a multi-vendor technology approach.”
The extension will allow for Marco’s to further enhance its technology capabilities and realize the benefits of machine learning and future artificial intelligence applications.
“By leveraging a total technology solution from a single provider, Marco’s can utilize these insights to further enhance its customer experience, operations and marketing strategy,” said Andrew Bounas, CEO and Founder of FoodTec Solutions. “We have been committed to Marco’s Pizza for several years and are pleased to be selected as the technology partner for our suite of integrated solutions designed specifically for the pizza and delivery industry. Many of our new innovative solutions are being released now and, in the future, which will enable Marco’s and its franchisees to compete very effectively moving forward.”
